Hilton to Join East Village Development
The City of Calgary has received the application for a Building Permit for the East Village Hilton at 711 – 4 Street SE. Total construction of the building is estimated at $33.5M.
“Our staff worked hard for an improved design that will result in a better pedestrian environment”, explains Planning, Development & Assessment General Manager, Rollin Stanley.
As part of an ongoing vibrant redevelopment of the East Village the Hilton, with 14 storeys and 315 rooms, will provide much needed hotel space to Calgary’s downtown.
The Centre City Plan, approved by City Council in 2007, is now starting to come to fruition with great developments like this and many others.
Overall building permits are at $3.8B so far for 2014, up 7.5% over this same time last year. For more information please visit our Building Permit Monthly Values page.
